Oklahoma State to request approval for performing arts center architect, construction manager

ARDMORE, Okla. — Oklahoma State University officials will ask regents Friday to approve an architect and construction manager for an upcoming campus construction project.

The OSU/A&M Board of Regents meet at 10 a.m. Friday at OSU Institute for Agricultural BioSciences, 3210 Sam Noble Parkway in Ardmore.

The board will vote on OSU officials’ selection of an architect and construction manager for the design and construction of a new performing arts center and possible renovation of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts. The board approved university officials’ request to begin seeking candidates for the two contracts in April.

OSU officials have said the project is necessary due to growth in the university’s performing arts programs. As a result of that growth, the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts has become too small to meet the university’s needs.
