Oklahoma State to hold commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University will hold its fall commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday.

OSU will hold its commencement ceremony for graduate degree candidates at 7 p.m. Friday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The student processional will begin at 6:40 p.m.

Three undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Students in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology will be included in a 9:30 a.m. ceremony. Students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and the Spears School of Business will be included in a ceremony at 12:30 p.m., and students in the College of Human Environmental Sciences and the College of Arts and Science will graduate in a 4 p.m. ceremony. Processionals will begin 15 minutes before each ceremony.

Parking for all ceremonies will be available on the northwest, south and west sides of Boone Pickens Stadium. Handicapped parking will be available on Friday and Saturday at Lot 15 on Athletic Avenue. A handicapped accessible shuttle service will run from Lot 15 to Gallagher-Iba Arena. Commencement speakers Saturday will be Gov. Mary Fallin and Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb. Fallin will speak at the 9:30 a.m. ceremony, and Lamb will speak at ceremonies at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Both Fallin and Lamb are OSU alumni.

OSU will award honorary doctorates Saturday to Gebisa Ejeta, a professor of plant breeding and genetics at Purdue University; C. Hubert Gragg, an Oklahoma oilman and unofficial adviser to Henry Bellmon; and Morten Johannes Lauridsen, a prominent choral composer and choral master.
