Oklahoma State's Vines, Yang named All-Americans

STILLWATER, Okla. — For the second year in a row, Oklahoma State senior Kelsey Vines has been named a second-team All-American, it was announced Thursday by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Cowgirl freshman Julie Yang was also honored by the WGCA, earning honorable mention All-America status.

The 2013 Big 12 Player of the Year, Vines finished the season ranked sixth in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Rankings.

For her career, Vines made 24 starts for the Cowgirls, finishing in the top 10 in 15 of those events.

Yang joined the program in the spring and was strong down the stretch for the Cowgirls, finishing in the top 20 in each of her final four starts.

Yang was named an All-East Region selection as well as an All-Big 12 pick this spring. She finished the year ranked 31st in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Rankings.
