IOWA CITY, Iowa —
The No. 5 ranked Oklahoma State wrestling team will continue road competition on Friday at Iowa City, Iowa, to take on big-time rival and the No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes. This will be the teams’ 48th meeting and the ninth for coaches John Smith and Tom Brands.

The dual will be televised on Mediacom. Fans can also watch the dual online at BTN2GO.com, which is a subscription-based service.
The dual will be aired live on 93.7 KSPI FM radio in Stillwater with Rex Holt and Roger Moore on the call. The audio stream can also be heard live on okstate.tv, but a subscription is required to listen online.
Oklahoma State enters the dual against Iowa ranked No. 5 in the USA Today/NWCA/AWN/Division 1 Coaches Poll and No. 3 in the Intermat Rankings.
All 10 of OSU’s starters are ranked among the top 20 in the nation at their respective weight classes in at least one poll, including a No. 1 ranking by Amateur Wrestling News, Intermat and W.I.N Magazine for 133-pounder Jon Morrison and No. 2 rankings for 174-pound defending national champion Chris Perry and All-Americans Alex Dieringer and Tyler Caldwell. Josh Kindig rounds out the top-five with a No. 5 ranking at 149 pounds.
Iowa also has 10 of its potential starters ranked in at least one poll. The Hawkeyes are led by top-ranked 157 pounder Derek St. John. According to Amateur Wrestling News, six Hawkeyes are ranked in the top 10.
An Oklahoma State win would extend the Cowboys’ lead to 28-18-2 in the overall series with Iowa. It would also be the Pokes’ first win over a ranked opponent this season.
