Oklahoma State wrestler arrested in Oklahoma City on drug, public drunk charges

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State University wrestler Edward Klimara was arrested on drug and public intoxication charges in Oklahoma City early Saturday morning.

Klimara and the other members of the OSU wrestling team were participating in the NCAA Division 1 wrestling tournament in Oklahoma City   Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Klimara lost his second-round match and was eliminated from the competition Friday with a loss in the fourth round of consolation bracket.

According to the city of Oklahoma City jail blotter, the 20-year-old sophomore from Joliet, Ill., was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Saturday for possession of a controlled dangerous substance — cocaine and public drunk.

Klimara compiled a 22-11 record this season.
