STILLWATER — OSU Equestrian team beats Kansas State
The fifth-ranked Oklahoma State Equestrian team had their first win of the spring season over No. 6 Kansas State 17-6 on Saturday.
The Cowgirls were led by junior Jessie Brothers in equitation on the flat. She recorded a score of 89 in equitation on the flat, the highest individual score in any discipline this year for the Pokes.
Joining Brothers with wins were seniors Ally Blais and Jen McLaughlin, junior Alice White and sophomores Sarah Brown and Jordan White. Blais continued her success in the discipline, extending her streak of consecutive MVP honors to five on the season.
Cowboys claim top 2 spots at OC II event
Oklahoma State sophomore Raul Botezan and junior Johnanthon Stublaski claimed the top-two spots in the 1,000 meters at the Oklahoma Christian II on Saturday in Norman.
Botezan won in a time of 2.26.66, while Stublaski finished just behind in second with a time of 2.29.7.
Cowgirls compete at OC II event
The Oklahoma State women’s track and field team traveled to Norman, Okla. on Saturday to compete in the Oklahoma Christian II.
Senior Julie Rader had a season best in the weight throw with a mark of 15.88 meters coming in third.
Sophomore Kendra Woodson had a strong showing during the 800 meter run coming in first with a time of 2:15.19.
