STILLWATER, Okla. —
Michael Cobbins, a redshirt junior on the Oklahoma State men's basketball team, will have surgery to repair his ruptured left Achilles tendon on Thursday and will miss the remainder of the 2013-14 the season. The Cowboy forward suffered the injury during OSU's game Monday evening against Robert Morris.
“Our thoughts are with Michael, and we pray for a successful recovery,” OSU head coach Travis Ford said. “We know Michael will work extremely hard and be back next season, better than ever!”
The sixth-ranked Cowboys (12-1) open Big 12 Conference action this Saturday as OSU travels to Manhattan, Kan., to take on the Kansas State Wildcats (10-3). Tipoff is set for 3 pm.
