STILLWATER, Okla. — The No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State University wrestling team easily dispatched No. 10 Wyoming in the semifinals of the NWCA National Duals regional at Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon.
Oklahoma State picked up two major decision and a technical fall en route to a 28-7 victory over Wyoming. OSU's Jordan Oliver and Josh Kindig picked up major decisions, while Alan Gelogaev scored the technical fall.
Oklahoma State bolted to a 17-0 team lead after five bouts. The Pokes had beaten Wyoming 24-17 on Jan. 1.
Ohio State avenged an 18-16 loss to Nebraska on Jan. 6 with a 21-18 win on Sunday.
The Oklahoma State-Ohio State final will pit two of the nation's top 133-pound wrestlers. Oklahoma State's Jordan Oliver (16-1) is ranked No. 2. Ohio State's Logan Stieber (22-1) is ranked No. 3 by Intermat Wrestling.
The finals are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The three other finalists for the NWCA National Duals Finals already have been decided. They are Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. A site for the finals has not been determined, yet.
