A city project to improve 12th Avenue to Western successfully provided better drainage and a wider route.
Too bad the folks around Duck and Duncan can’t celebrate. Despite the extensive construction project last year a little farther west along 12th, this block of the street continues to fill each time it rains.
High rushing water threatens safety, frustrates drivers and encroaches on area homes. Maybe this is the way it’s always been. But it is time for that to change.
The city needs to take another look at this drainage issue.
