STILLWATER, Okla. —
Livability.com Tuesday listed Stillwater at No. 7 on its list of Top 10 Death-defying Cities.
That means we are a top draw for extreme sports lovers. In the case of this designation, Stillwater is singled out for its motocross opportunities.
“While we can’t promise they’ll kill you, all these places let you at least give it a good try,” the website touts of the 10 cities on its list.
Apparently, Stillwater is known far and wide for its motocross tracks, and they draw riders from afar.
We all know extreme sports represent only a fraction of the attractions that make Stillwater a favorite destination and a great place to live. But it’s nice to have each aspect of our city recognized as exemplary throughout the country and across the world via the Internet.
Those of us who live here know the city and area have even more to offer than top-notch dirt tracks for those living on the edge. Boat races. Rodeo. Didn’t anyone mention noodling?
