• Kelli Shenold, Ripley, has received the Brian H. MacArthur Memorial Scholarship and the Buck and Irene Clements Scholarship from the Oklahoma State University College of Human Sciences.
A 2009 graduate of Ripley High School, she is a junior majoring in hotel and restaurant administration. She is the daughter of Gary and Darlyn Shenold, Ripley.
Shenold works as a waitress at a local steakhouse and is active in managing campus events such as the Chef Event and Wine Forum. She is president of the Eta Sigma Delta Hospitality Honor Society.
She has also received a scholarship from the International Study Office of OSU to study in Europe this summer.
• Karis Buerger, Stillwater, was named a 2012 Senior of Excellence by the Oklahoma State University College of Human Sciences.
During her years at OSU, Buerger has maintained a 4.0 GPA while working toward a dual degree in hotel and restaurant administration and Spanish.
She is an OSU Navigators Small Group Leader and a member of Spanish Club and has served as treasurer and president of the OSU Women’s Volleyball Club. She is also the founder and organizer of the Internal Exchange Group a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church Worship Team.
She is a member of the Human Sciences Technology Committee, has served as the Distinguished Chef Series front of house server and front of house manager and served as the 2011 Wine Forum Gala Dinner Committee Chair and Vintner Committee Member.
Her work experience includes serving as the front desk agent for the Atherton Hotel. She has been named to the President’s Honor Roll each semester of her college career and was named a National Merit Scholar.
Buerger has also received the General Honors Award, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Academic Award, the Human Sciences Dean’s Scholarship, the Golconda Foundation Award, the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation Annual Giving Scholarship, and the Oklahoma Restaurant Association Scholarship.
She is married to Thomas Bueger.
• Kelsy Litchenburg, Stillwater, a senior marketing major at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, received the outstanding student in marketing award for 2012.
