• Diane Kern, a 1991 Oklahoma State University graduate, has produced written and directed her second feature film, “Bloom,” which won the Accolade Award of Excellence in Los Angeles for women filmmakers and received five nominations at the Bare Bones International Film Festival in Muskogee.

The film made its public debut Friday at The Roxy Theatre.

The story is a period drama about a girl, Iris (Marcie Price), who is trapped under the brutal hand of her father (Mark Adam Goff). One day she meets the town’s eccentric gentleman Phillip Pritchard (Randy Alvarado), and he and two friends rescue her. But as Iris begins to heal, she discovers a secret in the grand house of Phillip.
