• Abby Speed, a 2010 graduate of Oklahoma State University, has been accepted into the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School in Montgomery, Ala., with additional training in San Angelo, Texas.

She is the daughter of Cindy and Dr. Gary Puterka, Stillwater, and Mike Speed, Las Vegas, N.M., and the granddaughter of Jody and Vic Hayes and Bill Bernhardt, all of Stillwater.

Speed graduated from OSU with a degree in business management and minor in entrepreneurship. She enrolled in the master’s degree program in supply chain management at the University of Texas/Dallas.

She enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from Jefferson High School in Shepherdstown, W.Va., in 2000. She was on active duty six years with deployments that included Qatar, Diego Garcia and Kyrgyzstan.

She enrolled in the Air Force Reserves while attending OSU. While at OSU she worked with the Riata Center in developing the Disabled Veterans Entrepreneurship Program, a free eight-day entrepreneur boot camp for disabled veterans.

While in Stillwater she worked as a Realtor with ERA Emde and Associates.

• Madison Martens, Perry, and Hayley Fort, Stillwater, have been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll for the fall semester at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan.
