STILLWATER, Okla. — The Cowboy Country Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, an organization focused on wetlands and waterfowl conservation, will be holding an auction and banquet June 28 to raise funds for Ducks Unlimited. Jared Cullison gave more information about Ducks Unlimited’s mission as well as details about the event.

1 What does the auction and banquet raise funds for?

Ducks Unlimited is first and foremost a wildlife and environmental conservation organization. Ducks Unlimited raises money to protect and rehabilitate lands for the protection of the wildlife that resides on those lands.

2 What are some of the items being auctioned off?

The event will offer over 24 guns to be auctioned and raffled off along with a pheasant hunt, turkey hunt, artwork and many other outdoor-related items. With the games, auctions and raffles, everyone will have a good opportunity at taking home something from the event.

3 How long has the Cowboy Country Chapter of Ducks Unlimited existed?

The Cowboy Country Ducks Unlimited group has been around for many years. I have been with the committee for three years now and we have, with the help of the community, built the annual event into something to be proud of.

4 How does money from the fundraiser help Ducks Unlimited?

The money raised at events goes toward the development and protection of wildlife habitat, thus protecting all forms of wildlife, not just ducks.

5 Do people have to register to attend, and how much does it cost?
