Glencoe High School Students of the Month

Glencoe High School recognized Students of the Month.

Sophomores David Barton, Ashton Schaefer, Nathan Evelsizer and freshman Chelsea Lazenby were recognized.

Barton is a member of the FFA and National Honor Society. He has been named to the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. He enjoys dirt bike racing, welding, along with auto and dirt bike repair. Barton attends Glencoe Church of Christ. He plans to attend Oklahoma State University and study architecture. He is the son of Kathie and Jeff Melton and Jamey Barton.

Schaefer is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and FFA. She serves as the sophomore representative on the Student Council. Schaefer is a member of the high school varsity basketball team. She enjoys swimming, church, showing animals, and being with friends and family. Schaefer attends the Glencoe Church of Christ. She plans to attend college to be a nurse or pharmacist. She is the daughter of Jason and Tisha Schaefer.

Evelsizer is a member of the FFA and holds the position of reporter. He holds the FFA Discovery and Greenhand Degrees and was named to the Principal’s Honor Roll. Evelsizer enjoys blacksmithing and playing the banjo. His plans include joining the Army and becoming a welder. He attends Glencoe Church of Christ and is the son of Donald and Jane Evelsizer.

Lazenby is the freshman class president. She is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll. She is active in sports and  is a member of the varsity basketball and fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball teams. Lazenby also enjoys reading. Her plans include attending college and becoming an elementary teacher. She attends First Baptist Church in Glencoe and is the daughter of John and Jennifer Lazenby.
