More highlights for the week are:

Tuesday: A free exercise class “Sit ‘n Be Fit” starts at 9:30 a.m. The class offers a low impact, 45-minute workout which helps strengthen your muscles. Some movements are completed while sitting and others are executed while standing next to a chair utilizing hand weights, stretch bands and bouncing balls. Afterward, stay and practice some boot scootin’ line dancing. This will get you a really good workout! In the afternoon, games include canasta, duplicate bridge, dominoes, pitch, pool/snooker and jig-saw puzzle solving.

Wednesday: Women pool players get together again at 9:30 a.m. for some friendly and fun competition. Wii games are played on Wednesday morning with the tax preparers busily working up tax returns. In the afternoon, games of canasta, Texas Hold’em, pool and snooker are played. An afternoon movie starts at 2 p.m. The movie for this week is a dramatic action film based on true events, entitled, “Captain Phillips,” starring Tom Hanks.

Thursday: Get in shape by joining the free Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise class, offered at 9:30 a.m. The class will provide a good stretching and toning for your body. If you would like some more exercise, stay after class and join the line dancing group that meets at 10:30 a.m. They really get to moving and can work up a sweat while having fun. In the afternoon, get in a game of canasta, dominoes, pool or snooker. At 2 p.m. a wild game of bingo takes place. Everyone is a winner. A men’s pool tournament will also be held at 1 p.m.

Friday: Pool playing skills are practiced again by the women starting at 9:30 a.m. The painters will be at it again, too. Bring your painting supplies and get creative. Exercise equipment is also available for use. At noon, the birthday potluck luncheon will begin. Following the luncheon, games of canasta, Texas Hold’em and pool/snooker will be played.
