The center offers a variety of activities for seniors, 50 and older, to choose from to keep busy including card games such as duplicate and social bridge, canasta, pitch, Texas Hold’em, and various others games like dominoes. Practice your shots on the pool and snooker tables. More women are encouraged to join the pool playing group at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Many get creative sharing ideas in the painting and craft group. Bring your own supplies and share ideas with other artists and crafters at 9:30 a.m. Monday and Friday. Win prizes playing bingo and enjoy musical tunes every Thursday during music night. A jigsaw puzzle table is always set up with a puzzle to solve.

Get some exercise in the Tuesday and Thursday morning Sit ‘n be Fit class or on your own using the center’s exercise equipment including a treadmill, weight set and exercise bike. Wii interactive games, line dancing and pingpong can get you moving, too.  A Veteran’s Affairs representative visits at 1-2:25 p.m. Tuesday to help with paperwork assistance. The dramatic movie, “Emperor,” a story based on facts, will be shown at 2 p.m. Wednesday. At 1 p.m. Thursday, all senior men are eligible to play in the center’s pool tournament. Join in  a wild game of bingo at 2 p.m. Thursday.

Stop by to pick up a September calendar of events. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday for music night. If you are interested in joining a social or duplicate bridge group, then call 405-747-8080 or leave your name and number with a staff member.
