Stillwater NewsPress

— The city of Stillwater Senior Activity Center has a few spaces open in the free defensive driving class offered by Meridian Technology Center from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Some insurance providers offer discounts if clients enroll in defensive driving classes. Check with vehicle insurance agents to determine if the Meridian Technology Center defensive driving class qualifies for a payment reduction.

Seniors, 50 and older, can join in other activities such as card games, pool and snooker, exercise classes, social and duplicate bridge, Texas Hold ‘em, canasta, pitch, dominoes, bingo, movies, Wii interactive games, line dancing, painting class, pingpong and musical entertainment.

Exercise equipment including a treadmill, weight set and exercise bike are available. A jigsaw puzzle table is always set up with a puzzle to solve.

Stop by to pick up a July calendar of events. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and  6-8:30 p.m. Thursday for music night. If you are interested in joining a social or duplicate bridge group, then call 405-747-8080 or leave your name and number with a staff member.
