Senior Center Watch 05-26-13

 The city of Stillwater Senior Activity Center will close on Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Activities for senior citizens ages 50 and older include card games, pool and snooker, exercise classes, bridge, Texas Hold ‘em, canasta, pitch, dominoes, bingo, movies, Wii interactive games, line dancing, painting class, pingpong and musical entertainment.

Exercise equipment including a treadmill, weight set and exercise bike are available. A jigsaw puzzle table is always set up with a puzzle to solve.

Stop by to pick up a May calendar of events. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and  6-8:30 p.m. Thursday for music night.

If you are interested in joining a social or duplicate bridge group, then call 405-747-8080 or leave your name and telephone number with a staff member.

Last week’s bridge winners were Penny Sizemore, first, and Orlean Hunter, second.  The duplicate bridge winning partners were Penny Sizemore and Lucy Robinson, first, and Murna Raff and Betty Lowrey, second.

The Texas Hold'em champions for the week were Allen Shields and Chestine Crane.

                and Wii games

1 p.m. Games

1-2:45 p.m. Veteran’s Affairs representative visits to help with paper work assistance. No appointment is needed.

Wednesday

9:30 a.m. Women’s pool

1 p.m. Games

2 p.m. Showing academy

        award winning movie

  “Silver Linings Playbook”

Thursday

9:30 a.m. Sit ‘n Be Fit low

  impact 45-minute exercise

10:15 a.m. Line dancing

                 and Wii games

1 p.m. Games

2 p.m. Bingo

5:30 p.m. Doors re-open

                for music night

6 p.m. Country band

           begins music

8:30 p.m. Music ends
