Senior Center Watch 05-19-13

— The city of Stillwater Senior Activity Center is hosting a coed pool tournament at 1 p.m. Friday. All community members ages 50 and over are eligible to participate with their own pool sticks or one of the center's pool sticks.

Activities for senior citizens ages 50 and older include card games, pool and snooker, exercise classes, bridge, Texas Hold ‘em, canasta, pitch, dominoes, bingo, movies, Wii interactive games, line dancing, painting class, pingpong and musical entertainment.

Exercise equipment including a treadmill, weight set and exercise bike are available. A jigsaw puzzle table is always set up with a puzzle to solve.

Stop by 1015 E. 12th Ave. to pick up a May calendar of events. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and  6-8:30 p.m. Thursday for music night. If you are interested in joining a social or duplicate bridge group, then call 405-747-8080 or leave your name and number with a staff member.

Last week’s bridge winners were Lynn Fent, first, and Janetta Loper, second.  The duplicate bridge winning partners were Camille Johnston and Terry Miller, first, and Al Perry and Lionel Raff, second. The Texas Hold'em champions for the week were Lula Mae Davis and Chestine Crane. Larry Leonard was the champion of the men’s pool tournament.
