OKMULGEE — Stillwater’s American Legion Majors improved to 7-1 with an 18-6 win at Okmulgee on Saturday afternoon.

Stillwater pounded out 19 hits and led 9-0 after two innings. A seven-run seventh blew open the game.

“Everybody really hit the ball hard,” said Majors coach Todd Smalley, whose club hosts Edmond Santa Fe on Monday at 7:30.

Mannford’s Aaron Roberts went 5-for-5 with three doubles and a triple while Taylor Field added three hits in five trips to the plate with a pair of doubles and a triple.

Perry’s Travis Hulet moved to 2-0 on the hill, striking out six and allowing four hits in six innings.

Stillwater also hosts Post 12 Roughnecks on Thursday at 7 p.m.
