CHOCTAW, Okla. —
The Stillwater High School softball team earned its first road win of the season, run-ruling Choctaw 11-1 in five innings.
Sophomore Halley Randolph belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the first — her first of the season — before Stillwater (4-2, 2-0 in district) scored three runs in the fourth and six in the fifth to seal the victory for the Lady Pioneers.
Senior Brittney Lockett (3-1) picked up the win, allowing one run on three hits and two Stillwater errors.
Junior McKinsey Stokes hit two doubles and drove in a pair of runs, while Senior Jenny Scarbrough had another two-run double to lead Stillwater’s offense.
“This was really big for us coming off last weekend,” Stillwater coach Amber Davis said. “I was really pleased with the way we hit the ball. We found our bats and were able to make some adjustments.”
Stillwater will face another district opponent in Edmond Memorial at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Little Couch Park.
