After dropping their tournament opener, the Glencoe Panthers regrouped and won two games, finishing the tournament with a 10-1 victory over Varnum.
Earlier in the tournament, Glencoe lost 12-0 to Binger and beat Dover 9-5. Claytin Beaver started Saturday’s game against Varnum and only lasted three innings. In the second inning he walked four batters and threw a wild pitch. J.K. Hadlock came in and pitched the rest of the game to earn the win.
The Panthers (7-2) took control of the game in the third as they scored three runs. Jake Lazenby hit a two-run triple and Hunter Hall followed with a run-scoring single. Glencoe had several people contribute. Hadlock went 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a run batted in. Lazenby went 2 for 3 with four runs batted in. Beaver hit two doubles and drove in three.
Glencoe visits Shidler at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
