(Continued)

STILLWATER, Okla. — Coyle 79, Carney 31

COYLE — The Coyle Bluejackets more than doubled their opponent’s score in the victory.

Coyle (7-4) scored double digits in all four quarters. Shiliah Young led offensively with 23 points. Tyra Aska scored 22 points while Shelby Jennings added 21 points.

Carney’s troubles continued, falling to 0-10.

Coyle coach Tom Webb said the team needs to get up and down the floor and shoot the ball well in its upcoming game against Davenport on Tuesday.

Frontier 70, Woodland 63

WOODLAND — Frontier defeated Woodland by a small margin in its first game after winter break.

Lady Mustangs’ post Marissa Goodman scored more than half of the team’s points and had 15 rebounds.

“Offensively we played pretty well but defensively we gave up a few points,” coach Clay Stephens said.

The Yale at Ripley game was postponed until Feb. 5.
