Oklahoma State's Fan Appreciation Day set for Aug. 4

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State will host its annual Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, Aug. 4 inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. Fans will get the chance to meet and interact directly with OSU football players and coaches as well as members of the Cowgirl soccer team.

Doors will open for the event at 1 p.m., with the two-hour autograph session for both the football and soccer teams beginning at 2 p.m.

Fans are allowed one item per person to bring and get signed, and no photographs with athletes or coaches will be allowed. Free 2012 Oklahoma State football and soccer schedule posters will be available for autographs as well as the Big 12 & Fiesta Bowl Champion Spring Poster.

The teams will be divided into four zones during the autograph session, with one group on each corner of the concourse level of the arena. Maps will be available at the event showing the players and coaches designated for each zone.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Boone Pickens Stadium lots.

The Cowboy football team will open its season Sept. 1 against Savannah State in Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Cowgirl soccer squad will begin its quest for a third-straight Elite Eight appearance with an exhibition game against Arkansas on Aug. 18 at Cowgirl Soccer Complex. Their regular season slate begins at home against Weber State on Aug. 19.
