Lady Pioneers fall to 5A's top team Shawnee in title game


SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Frontier (16-6) led by four at the end of the first and maintained its lead in the second. Tonkawa outscored Frontier 15-7 to take a 34-30 lead into the fourth. Marissa Goodman led the Lady Mustangs with 19 points. The Lady Mustangs host Oklahoma Bible Academy at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Yale 51, Luther 29

GLENCOE — The Lady Bulldogs pulled away in the second half to win the Glencoe Tournament consolation championship 51-29 over the Lady Lions. Lexi Huff recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 assists. Yale (8-7) visits Morrison at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Pawnee 44, Cleveland 23

TONKAWA — The Lady Black Bears earned third place in the North Country Tournament, defeating Cleveland 44-23. Natalie Jensen led the team offensively with 11 points. Pawnee (11-5) will face Perry on its home court at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
