Agra cancels next two football games due to shortage of players

AGRA, Okla. — The Agra Bearcats won’t be taking the football field the next two weeks as they will be healing from injuries.

During Friday’s 22-20 loss at South Coffeyville, Agra had three players injured, including one with a concussion. Agra already had one player suffer a concussion and two players ineligible earlier in the season.

The Bearcats were supposed to host Woodland Friday and visit Rejoice Christian next week. According to the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association, Agra will forfeit both of those games, which will put its record at 0-4 and 0-3 in district. If healthy, Agra’s next game will be at home against Coyle on Oct. 11.
