Tulsa pitcher Creger silences Cowgirls' bats

Espinosa gave up eight runs (six earned) on 11 hits, walked three, hit two and struck out three. Wieligman said it was a rough day.

“She’s been a warrior,” Wieligman said. “She will be ready to go tomorrow. I fully expect her to be ready to pitch. Tulsa is a good team and a lot of credit goes to them.”

The Cowgirls (26-22) will need to regroup quickly as they face Wichita State in a doubleheader Thursday in Wichita.

“We need to be ready to play,” Wieligman said. “Let’s go get two wins tomorrow.”
