BIXBY, Okla. —
A day after losing by 5 to Claremore, the Stillwater High School Lady Pioneers got back on track with a 41-32 win over Coweta in the consolation semifinals of the Bixby Tournament.
Making her first career start, Dylan Fix scored 17 points, while Lauren Stettnisch chipped in 8 points.
“It was great,” Stillwater coach Carl Treat said. “She got her first start because Austyn Iven was sick and unable to play. Dylan did a good of stepping in and running the point and she shot the ball really well. It may have even been her first game in double figures, but she did a good job, shot the ball well and did what we expected her to do.”
Juniors Kayla Klaus and Becca Worthy each scored 5 points, while senior Callie Atkins added 4 points as the Lady Pioneers (3-1) led 23-18 at halftime. Senior Jenny Scarbrough rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
With the win the Lady Pioneers will face Tulsa Edison in the consolation championship at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bixby.
