ENID, Okla. —
The Stillwater High School boys finished second and the girls finished seventh at the 8th Annual Oklahoma Track and Field games in Enid on Friday.
“It was good to see them compete, and begin the march to qualify for the state meet,” coach Rusty Atkins said. “We have lots to work on, and the outdoor season is quickly approaching.”
Eighteen boys and 17 girls teams competed. Brandon Prather won the long jump with a distance of 21 feet, 10 1/2 inches. Lucas Secrest finished second in the 55-meter dash (6.68) and Ty Smith was fourth (6.73). Bo Frohock finished third in the 3,000 meter-run (10:08). The 640-meter relay team finished third with a time of 1:16. Karsten Wilkinson, Smith, Prather and Secrest ran. The 1,280-meter relay team finished third with Trevon Dickson, Davyn Thompson, Secrest and Prather running.
For the Lady Pioneers, Abbie Woods won the 400-meter dash (1:02.9). Chablee Conner-Sanders finished second (1:04.1) and Kaitlyn Cotton finished third (66.7). The 1,280-meter relay finished second at 3:19. Angie Abo-Basha, Woods, Conner-Sanders and Cotton ran.
Stillwater begins the outdoor season with an invitational meet at Edmond Memorial High School on March 1.
