STILLWATER, Okla. — Saturday will be the final time senior defensive end Cooper Bassett will play at Boone Pickens Stadium and the last time he will face Texas Tech. Bassett didn’t have to look far to find his highlight against the Red Raiders. In fact, it was during last season’s 66-6 victory.
“Getting that interception last year, it was the only one in my career,” Bassett said. “It was pretty awesome. It was an ugly bobbled catch and didn’t have much of a return. It was really awesome play. It would great to make another one this week.”
Sophomore wide receiver Josh Stewart also had a memorable game against Tech last season, as he scored his first three touchdowns of his college career. The first one was on 66 and 27 yard passes, and recovered a fumble in the end zone.
Bassett and the 2012 senior class is 3-0 against the Red Raiders and could be the first senior class to sweep Tech since the class of 1945.
