McLOUD, Okla. —
The Perkins-Tryon Demons almost had a second half come back against McLoud but fell short, 27-21.
The Demons trailed 21-7 at halftime but an 83-yard touchdown in the third quarter put the Demons back in the game.
The second half began to turn around for P-T with the game tied at 21 late in the fourth but the Demons couldn’t secure a win.
With the game looking like it may head to overtime, Perkins-Tryon turned the ball over with about three minutes left in the game after McLoud had taken a 27-21 lead — with P-T blocking the point after try.
Next week the Demons host Verdigris for their homecoming game.
YALE 38, WELLSTON 0
YALE — The Yale Bulldogs lit up the scoreboard with a 38-0 shutout against Wellston.
Seniors JR Wakely and Devion Saunders were an unstoppable pair for the offense. They teamed up for three touchdowns and two successful point after attempts.
Yale also scored early on a 29 yard run by Wakely and his pass to senior Konner Fowler in the fourth.
The Bulldogs will take on Mounds Friday at home.
COYLE 46 , WOODLAND 0
COYLE — The Bluejackets ended the game in the third quarter by holding Woodland off the scoreboard.
Gary Hunter led Coyle with 184 yards rushing and Ryan Weathers threw for 186.
Getting in to the endzone was easy for the Bluejackets, but the point after attempts were a different story. Only two of the six 2-point conversions were successful.
“We went away from that and did some things different,” Coyle coach Shane Weathers said. “We’ve got to make sure we’re not missing points up on the scoreboard.”
Shane Weathers said the defense played well. They held Woodland to 3 yards rushing and gave up 68 yards in the air.
Coyle heads to Owasso Friday to face Rejoice Christian.

AGRA — The Bearcats couldn’t hold up against the No. 3 team in Class C, Sharon-Mutual.
Agra coach Enoch Jackson said his team needs to work on strength and conditioning.
“Their lines overpowered our lines,” Jackson said. “We got a little tired.”
Agra travels to South Coffeyville Friday.
