ONLINE ONLY: Morrison edges Agra; Brunt pitches second straight shutout for Ripley

AGRA, Okla. —

The Morrison Lady Wildcats only scored two runs but that was all they needed to defeat the Agra Lady Bear Cats 2-1 Monday.

“It was a pitchers duel all the way through,” Morrison coach Tim Hatter said. “(Agra’s Amber Austin) was solid. We were able to get to her the second time through the lineup. It was good to come out on top.”

Jacey Bales earned the win and at the plate went 1 for 2 and scored one of Morrison’s two runs. Brittany Coleman recorded two infield hits and scored a run. Hatter said the top of the lineup provided a lot of speed.
