STILLWATER, Okla. — Bye weeks give teams a chance to do two things — heal and improve themselves. The Oklahoma State University Cowboys are hoping to improve a few areas before playing at Kansas University on October 13.
"We worked hard. We went against each other for 25 minutes," coach Mike Gundy said. "Tried to work on speed. Then when we got into the team situation, we worked mainly on correcting situations against Texas that we weren't happy with — defending the deep ball, defending screens, execution on certain parts of the throwing game."
Oklahoma State allowed 304 yards passing and nine third down conversions and three fourth down conversions. Gundy said the team will start focusing on Kansas Thursday.
