ENID, Okla. —
The Ripley High School girls basketball team is one win away from making their state dreams come true.
Jaclyn McKnight scored 16 points — including several key baskets down the stretch — to help lead the Lady Warriors past Pawnee 48-41 Saturday at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center.
“We didn’t play our best, especially in the first quarter, but we did enough to win,” Ripley coach Doug Scott said. “Jaclyn McKnight made some big baskets in the fourth quarter and we hit some free throws at the end to finish the game.”
Along with McKnight, Kylie Ladd added 12 points while Wisper Lefthand scored 11 for Ripley (28-2), which trailed 15-10 after one quarter before tying the score at 22-22 by halftime.
Lauren Bynum led the Lady Black Bears with 16 points, while Tori Stevens scored 13 points and Natalie Jensen had 9.
Ripley will play Alva at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Enid.
