STILLWATER, Okla. — A week after all but being called out by Oklahoma State wrestling coach John Smith for the poor attendance in the dual against Iowa, the Cowgirl faithful showed it still has what it takes to turn Gallagher-Iba Arena into one of the toughest places in the country to play.
Even with the Cowgirls up by 20 over No. 24, OSU supporters made their presence felt. As the final buzzer sounded, most fans were just starting to make their way to the exits.
"It's great to have that much support," Oklahoma State junior guard Tiffany Bias said. "It gets you excited and gets your teammates excited. It's always nice to have that much support, even when you're up by 20."
It may not have been a full house, but those that are in attendence are carrying the load for those missing out. And with all three teams having so much success this season, there isn't a reason Gallagher-Iba Arena shouldn't be rocking every night.
