“We just got tight at the end,” Ripley coach Donnie Hoffman said. “I’m proud of our kids, but we just got tight. We were going up against the No. 3 team in the state and we were trying to be too perfect, and after six hours on the diamond it caught up to us.”
Ripley will continue district play Friday at 4 p.m. against the winner of Vannoss and Stratford.
