Coming off a rough weekend tournament in Edmond, the Stillwater boys and girls basketball teams went right back to work on the road on Tuesday.
The Stillwater boys battled Enid in a tough, physical game, but came up on the short end
45-38.
The Stillwater girls hung with Enid the entire game, but just couldn’t come up with that one run to get back in the game, falling
49-41.

The game featured 29 fouls and 21 turnovers in the physical matchup.
The Pioneers (1-4) hung with the 18th-ranked Plainsmen (4-2), but shot just 30.4 percent from the field (14 of 46). Enid wasn’t much better, making 18 of 48 shots (37.5 percent).
Jerame Littell and Austin Brinker each scored 9 points to lead the way for the Pioneers, who played a fourth-straight game without senior point guard Jordan Pound, who is still out with an ankle sprain.
Jevon Bennett and Josh Pierre each added 6 points for Stillwater, while Bennett led the Pioneers on the glass with 9 rebounds.
Stillwater concludes its rough pre-Christmas schedule with a road game at No. 17 Edmond North at 8:45 p.m. on Friday.
The Pioneers lost 56-47 to North last Saturday at the Edmond Tournament.

The Lady Pioneers
(1-4) never trailed the Lady Plainsmen by more than 11 points but could never make any kind of charge at Enid, either.
“We had several opportunities to cut into the lead, but we just had way too many turnovers,” SHS girls coach Carl Treat said. “After playing three games last weekend we were worried about our legs but the effort was there. We just missed way too many easy shots and gave them too many second-chance points.”
LaNesha Middleton led the way for the Lady Pioneers with 11 points and also added five rebounds. Emma Gade chipped in 10 points while Ashby Wieligman had 6 points.
Hayley Fort led Stillwater in rebounding with 9 to go with 7 points.
The Lady Pioneers will remain on the road Friday, playing at No. 2 Edmond North at 6:15 p.m.
