GLENCOE, Okla. —
The Glencoe Panthers returned to their winning ways with an 11-7 victory over the Shidler Tigers Tuesday.
The Panthers lost their previous game 2-1 in the finals of the Woodward Classic Saturday against Arnett. Ty Lazenby started Tuesday’s game and earned the victory with three innings pitched. At the plate, Lazenby hit a three-run home run and a double. Also contributing offensively was Hunter Hall with a solo home run and a double with two RBI. Jake Lazenby contributed two hits.
The Panthers (12-3) host Arnett at 2 p.m. Friday in the NOC Festival in Enid.
Ripley 10, Oilton 0
RIPLEY — The Warriors made quick work of the Panthers as they won 10-0 with the run-rule called after the top of the fourth.
Garret Gosney and Houston Twoguns provided the offensive spark as they each went 3 for 3 with a home run, double and single — finishing one hit short of the cycle. Chandler Salinas also contributed two hits. Justin Ford went 2 for 2.
Griffin Gosney earned the win with four strikeouts in four innings pitched. Ripley hosts a three-way with Olive and Mulhall-Orlando on Friday.
