GLENCOE, Okla. —
The Glencoe Lady Panthers had no problems with the Carney Lady Bulldogs in a 12-2 victory Tuesday.
Glencoe (11-4) took the lead in the second with three runs. In the third, the Lady Panthers put the game out of reach with a six-run inning. The Lady Bulldogs (11-3) scored two in the top of the fifth but that hardly put a dent into their deficit as the game was called after the inning.
Carney committed 10 errors to help the Lady Panthers move on the basepaths.
“Nothing went right. We couldn’t hit and throw it,” Carney coach Lindsey Freeman said. “We played like a bunch of third-graders.”
Chelsea Lazenby helped the Lady Panthers effort as she went 3 for 3 and scored three runs. Bri Martin was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs. Lyndsie Cook went 1 for 3 and scored three runs.
Alicia Place earned the win for the Lady Panthers. Shelby Hover took the loss but hit a double for one of Carney’s two hits. Caitlin Bailey and Amber Terrell scored the Lady Bulldogs’ runs.
The Lady Panthers host Shidler at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The Lady Bulldogs start play in the conference tournament at Coyle against Agra 10 a.m. Thursday.

BLACKWELL — There are nights when it just isn’t your night. For the Pawnee Lady Black Bears that was Tuesday night as they lost 8-0 to the Lady Maroons.
“(Blackwell) hit the ball well,” Pawnee coach Chad Tsotigh said. “It was one of those games. We didn’t show up with a lot of energy and it showed on the scoreboard.”
The Lady Maroons scored three runs in the third and fourth innings to run away with the game. Hannah Burkett started and took the loss only lasting through the first three innings. Chrissie Collins finished the game. Paige Lynn Moore and Hailey Evans recorded the Lady Black Bears’ hits.
Pawnee (16-11) visits Woodland on Thursday.
