Cushing blows out Bristow, Coyle crushes Copan

BRISTOW, Okla. — Cushing held Bristow to only one score in its 56-7 defeat over the Pirates.

Cushing jumped out to a two-score lead in the first quarter. The Tigers only gave up one touchdown to Bristow.

Gage Stallworth scored six touchdowns with 23 carries for 256 yards. Ian Jones had a 29-yard run to score for Cushing and a pass to Drew Wilson for another six points. Jones threw for 125 yards.

Sean Bozworth added an extra point kick for each of the Tigers’ touchdowns.

The Tigers travel to Henryetta on Friday.

COYLE 50, COPAN 0

COYLE — The Bluejackets didn’t give up any points to Copan in their quick victory.

The game ended at halftime with Coyle up by 50 points due to the mercy rule. Laine Noble had two interceptions and returned one to the end zone. Anthony McLeod also had a punt return for a touchdown.

Ryan Weathers returned as quarterback against Copan, and Jared Weathers finished the game.

Coyle coach Shane Weathers said his team played well.

The Bluejackets host Agra on Friday.

MORRISON 40, HOMINY 0

MORRISON — The Wildcats protected their end zone all night for a shutout victory over Hominy.

Jordan Quinata led the team with three touchdowns. He ran for 117 yards and passed for 133 yards. Scott Van Dorn also had 168 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The game was called at the beginning of the fourth quarter because of lightning.

Morrison will travel to Yale on Friday.

BARNSDALL 36, YALE 20

YALE — The Bulldogs fell to Barnsdall after struggling in the second half.

Yale was up 17-6 at halftime but was outscored 30-6 in the second half.

 Devon Saunders and J.R. Wakely teamed up to score all of the Bulldogs’ points. Saunders had a 90-yard kick return late in the fourth.

Yale plays the Morrison Wildcats on Friday at home.

ALVA 34, PERRY 21

PERRY— The Maroons’ 15-0 lead didn’t hold up in a district loss to Alva.

The Maroons had 297 offensive yards. Freshman quarterback Dawson Dadilla started and threw for 121 yards with one touchdown. Hunter Condit had 23 carries for 96 yards. Braden Sweet had five catches for nine yards.

The defense sacked Alva’s quarterback three times.

Perry will play at Hennessey on Friday.
