PAWNEE, Okla. — Morrison scored two touchdowns in the second quarter en route to a 20-6 victory over Pawnee Friday night.

Pawnee’s single score came on a 20-yard run by Tristan Garringer in the first quarter. Morrison coach Cory Bales said the defense won the game.

“We didn’t move the football at all in the second half,” Bales said.

Next week, the Wildcats face Alva.

“We’re going to have to do a much better job offensively,” Bales said.

Cushing 47, Mannford 32

MANNFORD — Mannford couldn’t keep up with Cushing’s Gage Stallworth. Stallworth scored six of the Tigers’ seven touchdowns.

Cushing coach Barrett Shupe said the team played hard but it was an impressive night from Stallworth. Next week, the Tigers take on the Perry Maroons.

“Cushing has a long way to go,” Shupe said.

Perry 21, Blackwell 6

PERRY — Only 94 offensive yards was enough for Perry to defeat Blackwell.

There were nine turnovers between the two teams. Perry returned two interceptions for touchdowns. The first was a 30-yard return by Hunter Condit and the second was a 43-yard return by Darreal Williams.

Perry is working on replacing the loss of last season’s quarterback and several key players.

Coyle 40, Covington-Douglas 0

COYLE — The Bluejackets shut out Covington-Douglas on their home turf.

Ryan Weathers led the team with 15 carries for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Anthony McLeod folowed with two touchdowns.

Coyle will remain at home again next Friday to play Woodland.
