STILLWATER, Okla. —
On Wednesday night, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls walked off the court after a loss for the first time in a long time. The last time Oklahoma State experienced this feeling was on March 7 when it lost to Missouri in the first round of the Big 12 championship.
Before Wednesday’s 64-59 loss to Texas Tech, the Cowgirls held the nation’s longest winning streak at 17. Oklahoma State will have a challenge starting a new streak as it visits the No. 2 Baylor Lady Bears. Junior point guard Tiffany Bias said they must learn from Wednesday’s loss.
“We have to move on,” Bias said. “Our next game is up. We are going to scout that game and be ready to play. We can’t dwell on this game too long. We didn’t play as well as we wanted to.”
The Cowgirls (11-1) haven’t had a losing streak since last February when they lost to Texas, Baylor, Texas A&M and Kansas State.
