STILLWATER, Okla. —
Noah Gade’s prep cross country career may be over, but the Stillwater High School senior continues to rack up postseason awards.
Gade was named the Gatorade Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year in the state of Oklahoma Thursday.
The Stillwater senior won the Class 6A boys individual championship with a time of 15:30. He also competed in the Foot Locker South Regional before advancing to the Foot Locker National Championships in San Diego, where he finished 36th with a time of 16:11.
He is also a National Merit Scholar semifinalist and has volunteered locally as a mentor to elementary school students and Special Olympics.
Gade joins the Gatorade Player of the Year award alumni that includes Robert Griffin III, Dwight Howard, Derek Jeter, Lisa Leslie, Abby Wambach and Peyton Manning just to name a few.
Gade will continue his career in Stillwater when he runs for Oklahoma State next season.
