STILLWATER, Okla. —
After the Jan. 13 dual with Iowa, junior Blake Rosholt said he was about 90 percent after wrestling his first competition in a month. After last week’s duals against West Virginia and Pittsburgh, Rosholt said he feels much better.
“My conditioning and stuff feels good,” Rosholt said. “I probably feel better than I have in my college career. My ankle is near 100 percent.”
In Friday’s dual against West Virginia, Rosholt won by decision 4-1 after getting a takedown in the first, an escape in the third and a bonus point for 1:55 riding time. Sunday against Pittsburgh, Rosholt lost by fall. Coach John Smith said Rosholt works hard in the wrestling room.
“He’s been plugging along and dealing with some of his setbacks,” Smith said. “The setbacks haven’t been just in the matches he lost but in a couple that he has won. I do believe with the consitencey he has shown in the room, it’s only a matter of time that he starts feeling what he wants to feel.”
