Pawnee remains unbeaten; Coyle rolls Oilton

PAWNEE, Okla. — The Pawnee Black Bears remain undefeated with a 62-28 rout over the Perry Maroons Tuesday.

The Black Bears (16-0) led 12-5 after the first quarter and expanded it’s lead to 22-10 at halftime. Pawnee outscored Perry 40-18 in the second half.

Nathan Brock led the Black Bears in scoring with 16 points.

Perry plays host to Pawhuska on Friday. Pawnee hosts Woodland on Friday.


Coyle 63, Oilton 19

OILTON — The Bluejackets had no problems with the Panthers in a 63-19 rout Tuesday.

Coyle (18-4) led by 10 after the first quarter and just built its lead from there, including blanking Oilton in the third quarter.

Jakobi Brown led the Bluejackets with 20 points. Eric Harris followed with 16 points for Coyle, which returns to action on Tuesday at Davenport.

Agra 73, Mulhall-Orlando 59

AGRA — The Bearcats maintained an early lead in a 73-59 victory over the Panthers Tuesday.

Agra (17-4) led by one after the first and by five at halftime. The Bearcats outscored the Panthers 37-28 in the second half.

Matt Reedy led Agra in scoring with 35 points. Ryon Boatright led the Panthers (17-7) with 14 points.

Yale 52, Morrison 35

MORRISON — The Bulldogs rebounded from their loss Saturday with a 52-35 victory over the Wildcats.

The game was tied at 8 after the first quarter. Yale (14-3) outscored Morrison 15-7 to take a 23-15 halftime lead. The Wildcats weren’t able to rally as the Bulldogs outscored them 29-19 in the second half.

Brady Eberhart led the Bulldogs with 18 points. Justin Bearry, Kyle Collins and Ty Conklin led the Wildcats (8-10) with 8 points each.

Ripley 55, Davenport 44

RIPLEY — The Warriors pulled away in the second half of a 55-44 victory over the Bulldogs.

Ripley (16-6) trailed 12-11 after the first but rallied in the second to hold a 25-23 lead. In the second half, Ripley outscored Davenport by nine.

Caulden Greenfield led the Warriors with 14 points. Ripley travels to Agra on Friday.


Ripley 43, Davenport 22

RIPLEY — The Lady Warriors continued their winning ways with a 43-22 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.

Ripley (21-1) edged out to a 12-8 lead, then shutout Davenport in the second quarter to lead 22-8 at halftime. The Lady Warriors outscored the Lady Bulldogs 21-14 in the second half.

Jaclyn McKnight led the Lady Warriors in scoring with 18 points.

Frontier 62, Oklahoma Bible Academy 30

RED ROCK — The Lady Mustangs’ offense was too much for the Lady Trojans in a 62-30 victory Tuesday.

Junior Marissa Goodman led the team in scoring with 24 points. Senior Bethany Childs followed with 14 points and senior Jalissa Gum contributed 9 points.

The Lady Mustangs (17-6) host Summitt Christian on Friday.

Pawnee 53, Perry 30

PAWNEE — The Lady Black Bears had no trouble with the struggling Lady Maroons in a 53-30 victory.

Pawnee led 22-16 at halftime and outscored Perry 31-14 in the second half.

Lauren Bynum led the Lady Black Bears in scoring with 25 points.

Coyle 57, Oilton 16

OILTON — The Lady Bluejackets pulled away in the second quarter of a 57-16 victory over the Lady Panthers.

Coyle (14-7) trailed 6-5 after the first quarter but outscored Oilton 15-2 to hold a 20-8 halftime lead. The second half was all Lady Bluejackets as they scored 37 to the Lady Panthers’ 8.

Tyra Aska led the team in scoring with 21 points.

Morrison 67, Yale 46

MORRISON — The Lady Wildcats shot the ball well in a 67-46 victory over the Lady Bulldogs.

Morrison pulled out to a 15-8 first quarter lead and led 33-22 at halftime. The Lady Wildcats led by double digits the whole second half.

Jacey Bales led Morrison in scoring with 25 points. Lexi Huff led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points.
