VIDEO: Taste of Home Cooking comes to Stillwater

STILLWATER, Okla. — Stillwater was home for one night to the Taste of Home Cooking School on March 3.

Culinary Specialist Jamie Dunn showed those in attendance how to prepare 10 dishes, which ranged from Berry Puff Pancakes to Mango Basil Chicken and Rice. Prior to the show, an expo was held featuring numerous new and familiar local businesses. Crowds had a chance to taste samples and enter drawings before taking their seat and packing the Wes Watkins Center.

Dunn educated the crowd, but kept the mood light, making jokes. At one point, Dunn picked up thyme and held it next to her.

"What is this?" said Dunn. "Thyme is on my side."

Dunn even led the group in a chant of "Orange Power."

One dollar from every ticket sold went to the Mission of Hope homeless shelter. Close to $700 was raised for the shelter.
