STILLWATER, Okla. — • Pettifer-Alberts

John Robert Pettifer wed Abby Alberts at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, in Crown Heights United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City before Rev. Dianne Peters.

The bride is the daughter of Marty and Joye Alberts, Stillwater. The groom is the son of Steve and Kathy Pettifer, Tulsa.

Maid of honor was Katie McDonald. Best man was Derick Pettifer.

Bridesmaids were Chandra Overton, Kendra Marrs and Holly Brown. Groomsmen were David Butts, Matt Whelan, Andrew Conway and Philip Bruce.

A reception followed the wedding at Will Rogers Theatre in Oklahoma City. The reader was Hannah Morgan and Sherri Morgan handled the guest book. Both are cousins of the bride.

The couple honeymooned in Antiqua and will reside in Oklahoma City.

The bride graduated from Stillwater High School, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tulsa and her master’s of social work from the University of Kansas. She works as a social worker at Integris Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma City.

The groom graduated from Union High School, the University of Tulsa and the University of Oklahoma School of Law. He works as an attorney at Hyde and Associates in Oklahoma City.
