Carissa Wilson weds Marcus Gabilheri

Carissa Elizabeth Wilson wed Marcus Vinicius Andreo Gabilheri at 3 p.m. Nov. 20, 2012 on Onslow Beach, N.C.

Parents of the bride are Randy and Donna Wilson of Stillwater. Adriana Andreo Gabilheri, Asturias, Spain, is the mother of the groom.

First Lt. Wyatt Wilson, brother of the bride, officiated the ceremony.  Matron of honor was Katie Bale Wilson and maid of honor was Tiaran Ye.  

Edy Enumo, Brazil, served as the groomsman. Zoey Wilson was the flower girl.

A reception to honor the couple was held Jan. 5, 2013 at the Stillwater Community Center where the bride’s sister, Latasha Wilson of Turkey, was designated the honorary maid of honor.

Servers assisting at the reception included Lauren Wilson, Kayleigh Wilson, Nature Ye, Janet Duncan, Vivian Sprott, Latasha Wilson, Katie Wilson and Kimberly Blumer.

Special guests included Ines Praxedes from Brazil who was the bride’s second host mother in Rio Preto.

Brazilians Felipe Saccomano and Gabriel Garcia Lopes, friends of the groom who drove from Wisconsin were also at the wedding reception in Stillwater.

Latasha Wilson hosted a personal shower for the bride on the day of the wedding reception.  Beverly Flesher and ladies from the Church of Christ honored the bride with a special shower.

Wilson graduated from Stillwater High School in 2011. She spent 10 months in Sao Jose do Rio Preto as a Rotary exchange student.

The bride is currently a student at OSU studying apparel design.

A 2007 graduate of high school in Salvador, Brazil, Gabilheri studied networking and information technology in Zaragoza, Spain. He taught Spanish and was employed as an IT technician in the North America Culture School in Rio Preto. He plans to attend OSU to study computer science.

The couple will make their home in Stillwater.
