Ruth Hanson and Nicholas Lightner were married Aug. 25 at Creekside Lodge near Salida, Colo. The Rev. Beau Berman of Tulsa officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Greg and Sharon Hanson of Stillwater where she graduated from high school in 2008. She is a 2012 graduate of Oklahoma State University.
The groom is the son of Jim and Kathy Lightner of Littleton, Colo., where he graduated from Heritage High School in 2004. He is a 2008 graduate of Vanderbilt University.
The sister of the bride, Shari Hatfield, Tulsa, served as matron of honor. Brother of the groom, Graham Lightner, Costa Rica, was best man. Bridesmaids included sisters of the bride Amy Roberts, Fayetteville, Ark. and Jessica Putman, Broken Arrow. Friends attending the bride were Rachel Ibs, Big Lake, Minn.; Natalia Soulages, Oklahoma City; and Sarah Turner, Tulsa. Cousin of the groom, Lillian Brooks, Centennial, Colo. was the flower girl.
Groomsmen were Jim Lightner and brother of the bride, Joseph Hanson, Bixby, along with Birmingham, Ala., friends Austin Dirks and Joseph Yates, and Brad Ryan, Vail, Colo. Nephew of the bride, Tucker Hatfield, served as ringbearer.
The bride’s friend, Elizabeth Crowley, Seattle, and Graham Lightner, were the wedding musicians.
After a wedding trip to Aspen, the couple makes their home in Midland, Texas where the groom is a petroleum engineer for Cimarex Energy and the bride is a fitness instructor. They also volunteer for Young Life.
